Rapper Dizzee Rascal has so much confidence that he will win the Mercury Prize again for his latest album, that he has even joked to the Daily Star that they should rename the award after him! “The Dizzee Award, that’s what they should call it, why not?” he stated.
He first won the prize back in 2003 for his debut album “Boy In Da Corner”.
His new album, “Tongue N’ Cheek” is the first independent release on his label Dirtee Skank and his first platinum album.
It was announced this week that the
record made it onto the shortlist of finalists for the prize, and the winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on September 7.
