Imagine waking up one morning and finding that your street
has been renamed! In Dún Laoghaire, Ireland, that is exactly what happened. A new estate is being built near the Kill Avenue roundabout in the suburban seaside town twelve kilometers south of Dublin city center. There are twenty four houses at nearby Honey Park cottages off Sallynoggin Road, built in 1926, and they will have their name changed to Honeypark (all one word). The decision was made by developer Cosgraves and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The new estate will contain over 800 homes and will include the creation of new streets and roads.
