A pizza chain has temporarily renamed all 62 of its British Columbia locations to support the Vancouver Canucks’ in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins. Boston Pizza will be known as Vancouver Pizza for the duration of the play offs.
The restaurants will hang Vancouver Pizza banners over the Boston Pizza signs and be given stickers to place over the logos on take out containers. The company also has advertising boards at the Rogers arena, home of the Canuck’s, which will also be re branded Vancouver Pizza.
The company said the cost of the renaming will be around $20,000 Canadian. Boston Pizza was founded in Edmonton in 1964 and now has franchises across Canada, USA and Mexico.
