The Insert Text Action

The Insert Text Action

This enables you to insert free form text into the names and / or extensions. Apart from the standard 'Rename Area' and 'Beginning at' options, there is only one other option.

This is the 'Insert this text' box, which allows to insert whatever text you like, including letters, numbers, spaces and symbols; as mentioned elsewhere in this help manual, you can't use forbidden symbols in this text box. Microsoft Windows forbids files and folders to have the following symbols in their names and extensions:
