Turkish Airport Reconsiders Name

An Airport currently being constructed in Turkey is to be renamed after complaints that the name in English relates to group sex. The airport is to serve the Black Sea cities of  Ordu and Giresun and was to be named “OR GI Airport”.

Ordu Governor Orhan Duzgun commented “Since OR-GI Airport doesn’t have good connotations in a foreign language, the name has now kind of been given a pass, of course, during the construction phase a new name will be found.”

Construction started on July 22nd and the airport will open in 2014 at a cost of 144 million new liras ($85 million).
